Erachi kadumb or ana pathal or kakkarotti

Ingredients:

For pathiri:

Rice-2 1/2 cup

Onion-2

Fennel seed-1 table spoon

Grated coconut-1 cup

For curry:

Beef-1 kg

Onion-3

Tomato-2

Ginger,garlic,green chilly paste-3 table spoon

Coconut milk-1 1/2 cup

Chilly powder-2 table spoon

Coriander powder-2 table spoon

Turmeric powder-1/2 tea spoon

Pepper powder- 1 tea spoon

Preparation:

Wash and soak 2 1/2 cup of rice for 4-6 hours.Take rice in a large bowl.Add chopped onions,fennel seed,grated coconut and salt.Mix it well.Then it grinding using a grinder.No need to add water.It as a thick dough.Then make small coin shaped dumplings by using your hand.Place it in a banana leaf.Like this make others too.Then steam it for 25-30 mins.Then we want to make curry for it.For that take a pressure cooker.Then heat oil on it.Add chopped onions .It saute well till it become transparent.Add salt and curry leaves.Add ginger ,garlic ,green chilly paste on it.Saute it well.Then add chopped tomato to it.Allow the tomato to become mashed.Add beef ,chilly powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder,pepper powder and some water.close the cooker then cook it until 7 whistles come.Wait for all pressure release from cooker.Then open the lid.Add  1 1/2 cup of coconut milk to it.Allow it it boil.Then transfer the cooked rice dumplings to it.mix well.Cover it and let it dry.Then switch off the flame.Now our tasty kakkarotti is ready to serve
